The unique qualities of De Traay honey
De Traay honey is special because:
- De Traay has had its own bee farm for 30 years. The daily contact with our bee population still forms the basis for the artisan methods with which De Traay honey is made.
- De Traay handles a very strict set of demands for its suppliers and for the quality of all our ingredients. De Traay works with beekeepers that pay close attention to the living environment of people, bees, and plants. De Traay also established the EKO guidelines for honey, in collaboration with SKAL.

- Controlled processing allows the natural nutritious substances (enzymes, proteins, minerals and vitamins) to remain intact:
- The honey processing takes place at low temperatures (maximally 40 degrees celcius).
- The creamed honey is cultivated and stirred over the course of a few weeks, so that a superior quality creamed consistency is created.
- The honey is filtered in such a way that any impurities are removed, but essential ingredients, like nutritious pollen remains behind in the honey.
- De Traay places high quality demands on its processing and its products. De Traay follows the official HACCP guidelines (a guarantee system, which safeguards food safety) and is certified at the highest BRC level
- De Traay honey is the natural choice!
